I am an Experience Designer specializing in hardware and software design. I have Industrial Design roots with specialization in Interaction Design, Design Strategy, Creative Direction, and Management.
In the past fifteen years, I have helped Fortune 100 companies identify and realize game-changing products and categories that have delighted customers and earned my clients hundreds-of-millions in continuous revenue and brand value. In doing so, I have been awarded top honors for both Industrial Design (IDEA) and Medical Device Design (MDEA.)
I’m certified as a New Product Development Professional (NPDP), qualifying me as expert in the proven best-practices of product strategy, portfolio-management, process, tools and teams. I have practical experience in the Agency and Corporate environment working in Agile/SCRUM, Stage-Gate, and 510(k) regulated environments.
As a Design Director I have established sustainable and competitive strategies, teams and processes. Most notably, I created the product-design department and PDP at Cardinal Health, staffing it with Human Factors Engineers, Industrial Designers, and Interaction Designers.
You may know me as ‘cg,’ a founding moderator, contributor and mentor at Core77, a global design super-site with over 9000 registered members.
